United States Medical Soccer Team

On Feb 6, 2015,  the US Medical Soccer Team convened in Long Beach, California to begin its preparation for this summer’s World Medical Football Championships.  As hosts to this year’s event, team USA was focused on an efficient and productive weekend of practice.  With many newcomers attending this first practice (a record 38 physicians in attendance), Coach Stephen Merriwether ran an amazing, highly competitive training session over the three days (Feb 6-8,2015) on the campus of Long Beach State University.  Coupled with a large outreach event for their “Healthy, Fit and Smart” program to two Boys and Girls Clubs in Long Beach, the team started 2015 in amazing fashion.
